Fog machine

A fog machine, or smoke machine, which is often used in parties and discos, is a device that releases a dense vapor resembling smoke or fog.

This type of device, which releases artificial smoke, is commonly used for recreational purposes, and small, reasonably priced models are available for personal use. It is also used in various industrial fields, training, and some military applications.

Typically, smoke or fog is created by evaporating water and glycol-based or glycerin-based liquids, or by dissolving mineral oils.

These liquids are evaporated or analyzed inside the vaporizer to produce steam, which, once it exits the fogger, condenses upon contact with moisture in the air, resulting in visible thick smoke.
